Japanese smart movie posters innovate media distribution

I’m wondering if my Wall-E poster is one of these special “smart posters” as described in the article. Apparently the poster is embedded with functionality employing NFC (“Near Field Communication”) so that those that have NFC enabled phones will be able to receive and view stills and trailers simply by holding their phone up to the poster. Unfortunately I don’t we can participate in this special Japanese magic since it requires a special NFC-USIM card. But I will definitely be checking my copy of Wall-E to see if any new technology can be found! It supposedly was only used at a Chiba area shopping mall but who knows. Something to look for in the future.
