Monsters VS Aliens Japanese B1 movie poster (Style B)
I like this version so much better than the very standard “every single character” version. Much more fun in my opinion — and this is the only one of these I have seen for sale.

Install Japanese B1 size movie poster featuring Aya Ueto
I have to say it is pretty difficult to find this Aya Ueto poster. Cool image, and of course very different from her look in Azumi. Double sided.

The most sought after of the Japanese Empire Strikes Back B2 posters featuring unique art by Noriyoshi Ohrai. You can see all the different types of Japanese Star Wars posters at Star Wars movie poster.com.

Original Star Wars Japanese B2 advance movie poster
There are at least three different styles from the original release of Star Wars — this teaser advance is certainly the scarcest of any of those styles in my experience. You can see all the different types of Japanese Star Wars posters at Star Wars movie poster.com.

Thunderball Japanese B2 movie poster R74
Sean Connery in Thunderball — this one is from the 1974 re-release in Japan.

Machine Girl (Kataude mashin gâru) Japanese B2 movie poster
This one was just too irresistible. Love the tagline: A Girl, A Machinegun, A Revenge. What else do you need to know? No Eirin on this, indicating a limited/low budget release. There is a photo style poster for this one as well, but I do prefer the cartoon version shown here.

Mirror Man (Mirâman – 1973) Japanese B2 movie poster
Mirror Man! Has anyone actually seen this? Looks like a real romp, from the pioneering days of the semi-robot suited superheros. Actually, the original TV version of Miraman dates BEFORE Ultraman, and the movie came out 6 years before. I’m not an expert on all the intricacies of the history, but clearly Miraman was a groundbreaking concept.

U2 Rattle & Hum Japanese B2 movie poster
I’m going to see U2 in October; I’m a big U2 fan, so I could not pass this one up. While it’s not the most beautiful poster, it is pretty scarce and evocative of a certain time.

GIRARA Japanese B2 movie poster
How can anyone not love Girara? Just look at him! He’s completely hapless — no one could be scared by this guy, right?
This is obviously a different style from the other Girara poster I have, and apparently is a tie-up poster (meaning co-promotional with something, like the Totoro Japan Rail poster and others). However, I have not yet established exactly what this is a tie-up WITH. I’m going to have to do some translation on some of the fine print to figure out what the real deal is.
Anyway, a very cool poster, pretty rare, and I’m beyond pleased to have it.

Anyone interested should definitely check it out — a lot of great material this week, ending Tuesday…

As always, I highly recommend Bruce Hershenson’s auctions not only for the selection but also because he cares about posters and packs them well, no matter where you live on this planet.
