JAPANESE MOVIE POSTER INVENTORY UPDATE

Big post tonight. First, the poster above is for one of my favorite Japanese movies (although I’m no Japanese film scholar), Twilight Samurai. If you are a Japanese film neophyte, this one is very easy to watch, is not focused on swordplay, and is, yes, touching. Highly recommend this one as well as The Hidden Blade.

For reference, this is the ORIGINAL release for Bullitt. Frequently there are (especially) eBay sellers who SHOULD be knowledgeable enough about their posters but get this one wrong… they represent the 70’s re-release as the original ‘68. It’s easy to tell, though, since of course the Eirin number starts with 43 on the 68, and there is the distinctive big blue “W” in the lower right corner for Warner Brothers.

Anyway, this one’s a new arrival and in excellent condition with no pinholes, so I’m pleased. I also just got in about 40 other titles, so if you’re interested keep your eyes peeled on the blog for a list.
